Working at Nova Hreod

Nova Hreod is a specialist college in science and mathematics with computing that caters for young people of all abilities and aptitudes. We believe that quality teaching and learning lies at the heart of our work and we welcome colleagues who share this commitment. Working at Nova Hreod has many advantages:

We can offer you a well qualified and enthusiastic staff with many opportunities for your own professional development.

We have state of the art premises developed through the partnership of Swindon Borough Council, Laing O’Rourke and the Governors through a public–private funding initiative (PFI). The building is designed to be light, open and forward looking with a large central atrium beneath a bio-dome named the “Da Vinci Dome”. All teaching and office spaces are built to very high standards and specifications and all classrooms have access to interactive ICT.

We have a significant range of support services for our young people and their families that reflects our commitment to being at the heart of our local community.

We are also an ‘Extended School’ providing open services across our school community.

Nova Hreod is an exciting and dynamic organisation focused on school improvement and raising standards. If you are looking for a stimulating, challenging and exciting environment in which to work we would welcome your application.

Our Specialist Status in science has allowed us to purchase exciting new equipment and develop our teaching using ICT. This has enabled students to enjoy their learning by interacting with lessons, becoming more independent and recognising a purpose for their learning.
